Mambo 4.6. Release Date Set

Image Team Mambo will release the much anticipated final production version of Mambo 4.6 on Monday, September the 18th. Note that we will be releasing 2 versions of Mambo: The full distro (aka 4.6 Complete), containing the complete suite of components, modules, mambots and templates, and a minimalist distro (aka 4.6 Lite) which will include only the Core files. This move comes at the request of the community, particularly the more experienced developers, who wish to have a version of Mambo unburdened by unwanted extensions.

All extensions bundled with the Mambo Complete distro will also be available as installable packages here on The Source, meaning that anyone who wishes to install the Mambo Lite distro, can select which components, modules, mambots and templates they wish to add and install them through the Universal Installer. Users of PHP5 will find some even cooler surprises in the new 4.6, but you'll have to wait until Monday to learn more!

Thank you for your patience and support.
