Mambo 4.6 Status Report

Team Mambo regrets to announce that the Mambo 4.6 production release scheduled for 31 August will be delayed for a period of two weeks.

The disclosure of a recent potential security vulnerability in Mambo 4.5.4 and the 4.6 RC2 codeset has required the Team to devote resources to developing and testing a patch. The loss of these development, and more importantly, testing cycles has caused us to delay the final production release of version 4.6 for a period of 2 weeks. With the release of the security patch for 4.5.4 we will shift resources back into the final testing of 4.6. Once we are satisfied of the integrity of the release, we will proceed.

In the interim, a security patch will be released on this site shortly. We advise all users running 4.5.4 to install the security patch and for those on older systems to upgrade to the patched 4.5.4 release. Please note also that this is a good time to move older systems to 4.5.4 as an upgrade will make the step into the new 4.6 easier.

Check back with us for the security patch release announcement. Those of you who are subscribed to the Mambo Security Announcement mailing list will be informed immediately. If you aren't on our Security Announcement mailing list, why not join now?
