Mambo Roadmap Released

Image

Team Mambo has released for public discussion a Roadmap outlining the proposed development of the Mambo Open Source CMS. The plan follows internal discussions and represents a current snapshot of the Team's thinking about how to best move forward to meet community needs.

"The Roadmap is based on where we perceive user needs combined with a practical need to deploy a technical framework which allows third party developers to participate in a logical and efficient fashion," states Core Dev team leader Chad Auld. "With the publication of this Roadmap, we hope to engage further the community members in collaborative process. We want to improve communication and the Roadmap is an important step forward in that direction. We don't want to develop in isolation from our users."

Going forward, the Roadmap will be posted on mambo-developer.org as it is updated and a further interactive version (employing the Open Source FreeMind application - requires Java!) is deployed on the Mambo Tracker site.

View the roadmap on the Mambo Developer site.

Feedback on the Roadmap is encouraged. You can engage in discussion on the forums.
