LinuxWorld Boston: Day 2

cauld

With the booth already setup we were able to get a little more sleep this morning.  We arrived at the booth just a few minutes before the crowd was let in.  LinuxWorld traffic was a little lighter today overall.  However, we still had a busy day and talked with tons of people.  It's been a lot of fun to meet users, solve questions they have, show them new features, etc.  We really do have a great community!

I was able to take a 15 minute break today to wonder around the expo myself.  There are a ton of great vendors and unique Linux solutions here.  I am a huge Linux fan so I'm in my element.  I spent a few minutes talking with various vendors like SugarCRM, PostgreSQL, etc.  Before heading back to the booth I stopped by the O'Reilly booth and bought myself a copy of Karl Fogel's book called "Producing open source software, how to run a successful free software project".  I can't wait to start this on the plane.  You'll see my wife holding the book in this picture.  I have to give her a big thank you for coming with me and helping with the booth.  By default she is a Linux and Mambo user, but she probably would not have come to the penguin fest if I hadn't dragged her.  She has been a tremendous help and I couldn't have done it without her.

The KDE chameloen was back today.  They let him out of the cage today and he spent a little time crawling on the LinuxWorld attendees.  Here you can see him running around on a vendor from AMD.  That's it for today.  Tonight we are hitting a little happy hour for the exhibitors.  Should be a good time.  Until tomorrow... Mambo On.
