Meet Ninekrit

February 2006: Akarawith Tamrareang, better known to most as "ninekrit." He's not only a member of Team Mambo, but also a member of the MSC. Ninekrit runs a strong Mambo community site in Thailand and on top of everything else -- he's actually found a way to make money doing something he loves!

The Interview

In what ways do you make a contribution to Mambo?
  • I promote Mambo in Thailand by developing the Mambo Thai edition / Write Thai Mambo Book and set up Mambo training center. I co-operate with government to promote Mambo in Thailand. I also join in core development team and translation team in Mambo foundation.
When did you first hear of Mambo?
  • From sourceforge.net for 4 years ago.
How and when did you get involved in Mambo?
  • Since 4 years ago, I start the Mambo community in Thailand to create the Mambo Thai edition and promote the Mambo usage.
Are you being paid to work on Mambo?
  • I don't get paid to work on Mambo but I do make money from Mambo training as I’m an instructor.
How much time do you usually spend on Mambo?
  • Every time that I’m free from my work.
Do you have any specific goals for Mambo?
  • To make Mambo popular in Thailand and make it meets the requirement of Thai people.
What keeps you motivated to work on Mambo?
  • Mambo is a nice software that help people a lot in doing website.
In addition to Mambo, what other Open Source applications do you use regularly?
  • SugarCRM , VirtueMart , SME Server , Open Office.
